Made this last nighttime. Followed recipe exactly just baked in oven at 350 for ii hours. Turned out absolutely fantastic!!! Served with garlic mashed potatoes and parslied carrots. Definetly a keeper!

This recipe was tasty and the smell was mouth watering, I made a few changes. The roast I bought was very mishapen, so instead of using a rotissarie, I used a slow cooker. I unfortunately didn't have teriyaki sauce, but the next all-time matter I mixed upward some soy sauce and saccharide and a chip of wine. I mixed all the ingrediants together and put it in the slow cooker with the roast. It turned out splendidly and made the whole firm smell like heaven!

I merely made a chuck roast that thought it was prime number rib! Later on our awesome sucess at grilling pizza last night, we decided to try a roast tonight. WOW! We don't even have a spit- I just put a pan nether it to catch the juices and flipped information technology one time. It was a three pound roast and took 1 1/2 hours to get it just rare in some spots. We even baked the potatoes next to it. The kids loved it too!

Crawly! I used this recipe for a three pound chuck roast. I love cooking with beer and of course in that location'southward no shortage of that in this house! Simply, if you don't want to part with your beer your could easily sub beef broth. I didn't accept fresh ginger root, so I used 1 tsp. of ginger powder. For the onion, I used three green onions finely chopped. I poked the meat and put everything into a ziploc bag and let it become for 48 hours which I highly recommend. Nosotros put this over our rotisserie and took information technology off when it reached 160 degrees which is for medium well. The meat was and then tender and juicy! Our guests raved most this! I would definitely make this again.

Yum! Very adept flavors. My rotissarie was not working, so I bbq'd information technology on the tiptop grill for alittle over an hour and then brought it down for the remainder. At that place was sooo much sauce, and I just kept basting information technology (actually drizziling it over the top) every twenty minutes or so. Very tasty!! Can't expect to eat the leftovers today. We will defineltey be making this again.

I never cook beef because I never knew what to practise with it and always ended upwards with tough chewy meat. I decided to try this recipe but I made two pocket-size changes. I did not apply the beer as I never purchase beer and then had none on hand. I used some orange juice instead to sparse the marinade mixture and since the teriyaki sauce had ginger in information technology, and I as well had no fresh ginger on hand, I did not add together the fresh ginger. So those were the only ingredient changes. Instead of grilling it, I browned information technology on all sides in a skillet and and then broiled it in the oven at 350 for about 3 hrs. It was a 3lb roast (I similar my meat very well done which was my reason for not using the grill) This was moist and succulent. The next time I make this, which will be shortly, I volition chocolate-brown information technology on the grill and finish it in the oven as it generated a lot of fume on the stove. Happy to study that this was a large striking non simply for dinner but the left overs fabricated excellent shredded beef sandwiches the next 24-hour interval. ( I shredded the beefiness and warmed information technology with more BBQ sauce for another delicious repast). Thank you for the recipe Sue!
05/17/2005
My boyfriend raved all night about the roast. It was the juiciest roast I have ever had. I don't think we will ever melt a roast in the oven or crock pot again!!! The combination of flavors was awesome! Cheers for the recipe!
06/14/2008
Take the time to cook this roast slowly on the grill, and patiently baste it - the flavor makes information technology worth as of effort!
05/08/2007
I used tri-tip and a slow cooker. Kept a bit of the marinade for drizzling after cooking. Then tender and flavorful without being overpowering that my 3yr old loved it.

I made this with a ii and a one-half pound roast, just made the full marinade recipe. It was plenty to cover the whole roast in a four qt casserole and eliminate the need for constant turning. It grilled over an indirect flame for most seventy minutes to 140F and was done to almost medium well...simply a little(!!) pink remaining. When bringing the marinate to a boil do it slowly, and you'll need to add together something to help it thicken, otherwise you're in for a long wait. I used half a tablespoon of flour, which worked out well...in the long run. Overall I was not that impressed the first dark, only my married woman said it was delicious. I thought the flavor thin and the roast too much like a BBQ of pork. Sadly, I packed it all up and put in in the frig afterwards dinner. At that indicate, I was thinking a rating of two stars. Hither'due south where this gets actually good. 48 hours get by and I decide to make a sandwich. I heated some sauce and made a BBQ sandwich...It WAS FANTASTIC!!!! The two days of the flavors melding made all the difference. Now I can't get plenty. Now I'thou wondering if I had made the marinate ii days in accelerate and let it sit in the frig, how much amend would the roast have been on that kickoff night. Heck, I'm going to utilize this sauce at the embankment on ribs this summertime...and chicken...and whatsoever else sits still long enough to grill. IF Y'all DO NOTHING ELSE...MAKE THIS SAUCE AND LET IT AGE A COUPLE OF DAYS.
06/03/2007
This was not bad! We didn't have whatever beer on mitt, though, and then I substituted a mixture of 1/3 c A-i steak sauce, 1/3 c ketchup, and ane/3 c balsamic vinegar for the beer. It was withal really good, but I can't look to try this again with the beer the recipe calls for instead. Nosotros also don't have a rotisserie, then had to cook it on the regular grill surface. Even with very frequent basting and movement of the coals so that they provided a more indirect estrus, our roast didn't take near the two hours the recipe calls for. I'yard not sure whether this is a factor of the barbecue or the method, but I can say that it'southward worth being judidcious and watching this roast carefully to make sure information technology doesn't get overdone. Terrific submission on the whole, though -- cheers so much for sharing information technology!! :)
07/16/2009
This recipe did wonderful things with my lowly chuck roast. I don't take a spit so I did the indirect heat thing on the barbie. I used the boiled marinade to very generously drip nearly every 10 min., which I really think is the central to this and made certain to move this around for fifty-fifty cooking. It took almost 2 hours to attain 145 degrees. It was a thing of dazzler coming off the grill. Absolutely delicious.....endeavour this one - I think you will be glad you did. Ahmad y'all rock cuz your pic made me want to make this and thanks to Sue for such a great recipe.
02/13/2010
I cooked this roast in the deadening cooker for 10 hours on low. I followed the recipe every bit written, merely cut the sauce in half (since I was using the tiresome cooker). The meat tender and flavorful.
07/17/2011
Excellent recipe. I made 2 modifications: added 2 TBS brown saccharide for the carmelization factor and I didn't add onion (I didn't take one handy). This was succulent and my family went crazy over it! My picky 13 yo had 4 (yep, iv) helpings! I used an adjustable rotisserie basket and information technology cooked perfectly. Will surely brand this again!
01/07/2006
This was one of the best roast I take ever made. Will practice once again.
09/28/2010
This sauce is wonderful! I marinade as I thaw the meat out in the fridge... make your marinade, put the frozen meat in and let it thaw overnight in the marinade. I also did this roast by browning information technology real well in olive oil and put it in the slow cooker with about one/2 cup of the marinade... put the sauce in the pan I just browned the roast in (gotta get those brown bits), and so reduced the bbq sauce while the roast was cooking... turn it off and permit it set until the roast was done and heated the sauce back upwards a fleck. Consistency was perfect! I besides used Miller Lite for the beer... it's a very subtle beer for cooking. I would have used the spit method, but it was 97° out there. Non happening! I will repeat it on the spit... in the fall or winter!
06/28/2009
This is a great recipe. I was craving roast only it'south Summer so I didn't want to fix something heavy. This was the purfect respond! I did overcook information technology a fleck. Cooked information technology to 160 degrees and meant to just take it to 145 as I like my beefiness rare and DH likes his medium - with resting fourth dimension I think 145 would have been perfect. My fault simply withal declicious. Due to size of roast at that place were still some pink spots. Next fourth dimension I'll watch the temp. a bit closer. Great Summertime roast recipe! Thank you Ahmad!
08/24/2011
OH. MY. GOODNESS. Really proficient and tender. I hate my roast being likewise dry out then we marinated for two days. Then juicy and I loved the flavors.
06/30/2013
I give out 5-star ratings infrequently because I experience a recipe needs to really WOW me to become that kind of rating. This recipe is deserving of all stars! Amazing flavor! Followed the marinade ingredients exactly using State Shark beer and Open Pit bbq sauce. Nosotros had a three.5 lb. roast, however our roast was about 1/2 frozen, so it was marinated on the counter while information technology connected thawing. Husband put on Weber grill with no spit (using all-natural coals, not the chemical kind), used indirect heat (push coals to sides and place meat in the center.) He flipped and basted every x minutes having to add a couple coals half manner through to proceed rut going. Most 75 minutes to medium doneness. The smells while cooking were oral cavity-watering. Meat was tender and full of flavor. Another reviewer made a comment that information technology was like to prime rib. Hubby was skeptical before cooking, only not anymore. Prime rib flavor is accurate! Totally recommend this recipe Equally IS!
07/xix/2005
I cut the marinade recipe down to 1/iii since I was using it on smaller pieces of meat. I used Miller Lite beer and I could really taste the beer. Dh said he could not, just he likes beer and I don't. The ginger flavor overpowered the teriyaki and the barbeque sauce. Anyway, we both thought information technology was pretty good. Maybe it would be better on a roast equally written.
eleven/14/2012
I but made this the other night and followed the recipes. It turned out astonishing! Great flavor tender and loved it! My picky niece and nephew fifty-fifty ate it and asked for more. I did bake it in the over at 325 for two.v hours with a iii.five pound chuck roast. Would like to try it on the grill adjacent though. I think between 2-2.five hours is perfect fourth dimension for this. I volition definantly exist making this over again. At that place were no left overs :)
12/16/2007
The season was excellent. Used for steak. I decided to brand into a salad, considering we needed to consume information technology for tiffin. Dressing: olive oil, ruby vino vinegar, garlic, steak sauce. Added grilled strips of zucchini and mushrooms. Very pretty & excellent. Hubby loved it.
06/08/2008
We used this roas recipe for our commencement experiment with a rotisserie on our gas grill. We used a rump roast instead. it took a niggling longer to cook, however it was the all-time roast nosotros had had in a long time.!!!! The Marinade smelled so practiced it was mouth-watering. Even the neighbors remarked on how adept itr smelled.
09/05/2009
I thought the flavor of the beer was overpowering, and we melt with beer all the time (I know it all depends on what type of beer as well, but what we used just didn't work!). Next time nosotros'll leave the beer out and only add a little vinegar. I also added a few TB of brown sugar while it was simmering on the stove. I was hoping the basting sauce would thicken up during the cooking phase but it stayed quite thin and watery. Definitely not my favorite way to set this cutting of meat.
07/14/2011
I followed the recipie using all organic ingrediants, with the exception of blistering it at 350 for 2 hours.
07/25/2011
I e'er like to prepare a recipe the first fourth dimension exactly as written. That said, this was delicious!! The roast was perfectly cooked and the marinade and sauce was simply scrumptious. Ingredients were basic and training was elementary and quick. A huge successfoe our family. This will definitely go into our rotation.
09/25/2011
I don't accept a rotisserie so I cooked information technology dull and low on my Weber with lot'southward of apple forest smoke. Outstanding.
06/12/2014
This was so delicious! Thank yous for the recipe. I've made chuck roast on the grill before and it turned out very dry out and chewy. And so the only matter I could make with information technology would be Italian beef sandwiches in the tiresome cooker. My hubby and Kids raved about it and said they definitely desire this once again and soon. I wish I had taken a pic of the concluding product because information technology looked as expert as it tasted!!
08/17/2015
All I can say is excellent !! My outset time I followed the recipe with a chuck roast .. Splendid!! But had some moose roast so did it with the moose roast but instead of putting it on the grill I baked it in oven 300 degrees for two 1/2 hrs it was melt in your mouth perfect.. I was afraid with it being wild game doing it on the grill would dry out it out with no fat content. Adjacent time I volition practice the moose on the grill cheers for sharing your recipe this ones a keeper in our house!!!!
06/04/2007
I changed the recipe to: i/2 cup of bbq sauce, teriyaki and shiraz vino with one tsp minced garlic and Emeril'south Essence. Watch cooking times as my roast was done in ane 1/two hours. Very tasty would make again!
08/xiii/2011
Delicious...I used soy sauce b/c I didn't have teriyaki, but will endeavour information technology with teriyaki next time. Also used the crock pot because I didn't want to run the grill for such a long time. Came out great.
12/26/2009
this was very adept!!
08/28/2011
This was fabulous! A wonderful recipe for the rotisserie. We merely loved it! This is a keeper!
02/24/2011
This was the greatest roast I take ever made. I made information technology in the oven at 350 for 2 hours and it came out so juicy and Sweetness. My kids loved it because it was sweet. I used honey teriaki instead of plain.
08/16/2009
I institute this recipe a fleck salty for my taste. I would not add any boosted salt next time. Over all a crowd pleaser, however, side by side time I will tweak it a bit. Slap-up thought to practise on the grill.
09/03/2007
This made my mother-in-constabulary drool. The meat was melt in your mouth tender with an incredible flavor. We cooked to approximately 142 degrees and information technology was a medium cook roast, which we adopt. This was our first fourth dimension using our rotisserie (a gift from said mother-in-law) and this roast really made us look like experts! Thank you, Sue!
10/xiii/2007
This was fabulous!! Like shooting fish in a barrel and imparts a very succulent flavor to the meat. Can't afford prime rib?? Just purchase a chuck roast and follow this recipe and your guests volition roll their eyes! Highly recommended!
11/04/2009
Delicious. Nosotros don't take a spit anymore. I fired up the big green egg and cooked at about 325 until done. Delicous!
08/10/2009
The reviews on this recipe made me run right out and purchase a rotisserie for my BBQ. And Boy, am I glad I did!!! This was so moist and tasty my hubby didn't say a word through dinner, except to say "I'g going dorsum for seconds!" Cheers for a keen recipe I'll be using again, and once again....and again.
02/22/2010
Swell recipe! Thank you lot! Used the tedious cooker because I don't have a grill. Dry rubbed the roast w/ pepper and garlic put it into the irksome cooker for about five hrs, threw in some chopped carrots. Great sauce, bf loved information technology!
06/27/2009
I honey this recipe. Every time I make it people rave most it. I cook it on the grill for nigh an hour and then finish cooking information technology in the oven. It always turns out great!
06/23/2009
This was a pretty tasty roast, but I wasn't quite diddled away.
xi/16/2011
I actually subbed most a loving cup of a good red merlot instead of the beer and it turned out great! Not sure how the beer would accept inverse the season but I definitely recommend using a dainty red wine in this to give it a good kick.
01/26/2010
I didn't have fourth dimension to marinate this and so I pulled out my pressure cooker and dumped all the ingredients in there. Cooked it under 15 lbs pressure for about 45 minutes. I put the meat on a foil lined pan, basted it thoroughly with the runny sauce, and popped it in the oven at 250 for 2 hours basting every 30 minutes. Took information technology out of the over, shredded the meat with a fork (it was falling apart anyway!!) dumped information technology in a bowl with the caramelized basting drippings on the foil (YUM!) and a ladle or and then of the juice from the pressure level cooker (enough to moisten to our liking), and mixed it up. This made THE BEST BBQ BEEF SANDWICHES Ever!!!!! I think my 14 yr old was actually snorting while he was eating these, the ii yr sometime downed his, the 3 year former had to be talked into it past the others merely so cleaned her plate, and the difficult to please loftier maintenance 5 year old....well, she had a 2nd sandwich!! Enough said, correct?! I cannot even imagine what these leftovers ar going to taste like tomorrow!!!!!!
02/17/2012
Unproblematic...Great sense of taste... What more than is in that location to say. Must try!
07/22/2014
Not sure what I did wrong, but followed the recipe exactly except didn't have a spit. So I followed a few other reviews and seared it on the grill then baked it in the oven at 350 for 2 hours. Information technology came out extremely dry and tough, and the sauce was very salty. I was very disappointed, may try information technology once more if I buy a rotisserie.
06/01/2009
The local supermarket had a great auction on chuck roast then I decided to give this i a endeavor - really nice recipe. I only had a few hours to marinate information technology, but it was juicy, tender and very flavorful all the same. We don;t have a rotisserie, but covered the grill rack with tin foil to go the indirect rut effect. Nosotros temped our 3 pound roast at ane hour and information technology was almost good to become, so turned the grill off and let it sit down for another 15 minutes, so pulled information technology to remainder. Great way to "gourmet upwards" such an affordable cutting of meat - nosotros'll use this one again. Thanks Sue!
08/02/2008
My friend has a freezer full of organic meat that needs to be cooked, I used this recipe and everyone loved it. were using it over again today for ribs. The flavour is awsome
01/29/2011
This recipe is a keeper! I really liked the flavor of it. I don't have a spit for my grill, only I put it on the top rack and it flipped it every 15 minutes and information technology turned out perfect. I had about a 3 lb., bone-in roast and it only needed to cook for about 90 minutes at well-nigh 350 on the grill.
11/10/2008
My husband loved this. I ended up cooking information technology in the tiresome cooker then next fourth dimension I will endeavour it on the bbq, only the marinade/sauce was wonderful.
09/04/2012
With most recipes, I'm tempted to make a modify or two correct off the bat - not and so with this 1. I followed it the best I could. I don't take a rotisserie, and then I used a roasting rack in a pan and flipped the roast over after an 60 minutes. The Teriyaki sauce I had in the cupboard was a "Ginger Teriyaki" sauce that was a flake potent on the ginger already, so I didn't add the fresh ginger. Side by side time I brand it, it will be with a more traditional Teriyaki sauce and add together the fresh ginger root, as called for in the recipe here. Obviously, there is a Wide range of barbecue sauces from which to choose. I used Open Pit Thick 'n' Tangy Brown Sugar & Spice because that'due south what I had on manus; it gave the dish a overnice nil. The genius of this recipe is the simplicity of preparation and the bones, easy-to-find ingredients - resulting in a nicely balanced flavor. I would strongly recommend post-obit the recipe exactly at information technology is before changing anything. If you're like me, yous will probably end up experimenting with it, but this is one of those rare recipes that works wonderfully only the way information technology is. My hat's off to yous, Sue. Outstanding job!
03/21/2014
Followed this recipe exactly, except that I don't have a rotisserie for my grill. At that place are no directions for temperature, but I prepared the grill for indirect oestrus and turned the roast every xv minutes. Temperature ended upward between 300 & 350F, varying because of me opening and closing the grill to plow information technology. The meat was adequately tough, definitely not tender or falling apart. The flavor of the marinade was fair to proficient. Wish I got the groovy outcome so many accept reported, but not sure what to do differently.
05/02/2008
I followed the directions to prepare the meat/marinade exactly. I setup my gas grill to cook the meat on the new rotisserie I had simply purchased. I placed some oak wine butt chips in my smoker box. I gave it a light smoking about 30 minutes into the cooking fourth dimension. It turned out fantastic!
02/28/2010
Cooked it in the crock pot considering our grill was buried in the snow. Very good
03/13/2010
I used the recipe every bit a template, and ended up using teriyaki, BBQ, and about 2-three other sauces i happened to have in my refrigerator since i didn't have any beer. my husband said it was the best e'er - now i only wish i knew how i did information technology!
07/14/2012
This was just okay. My husband says it was too vinegary - could've been from the bbq sauce I used. I cooked information technology in the crock pot, so it was very tender. The flavor was adept; but nothing spectacular. Maybe next time, I'll smoke it equally ane reviewer suggested.
08/03/2008
Yuck!! Deplorable to give a bad review. I don't see how anyone can compare this with prime rib such as one reviewer stated.
05/20/2013
I bought a chuck roast on sale not knowing how to cook it. I marinated it for v hours, and so cooked it in my cast iron dutch oven for an hour, and then topped with marinade and cooked an additional 60 minutes. I really had no idea what I was doing, but my husband said information technology was by far the best thing I've always fabricated! We will make this once again soon.
04/23/2009
great made it with some t bones and my family loved information technology
05/26/2014
Instead of making an actress trip to the store, I used items I already had. I used BBQ sauce, beer, onion, garlic, oregano, and basil. I didn't accept soy sauce or vinegar but I did add about 1/iv cup of brown sugar. I mixed everything together, poured it over the roast, and let information technology sit down for 24 hours. After that, I baked mine in a slow cooker with carrots, onion slices, and potatoes. I must say information technology was phenomenal! I would never think to make a chuck roast with BBQ but this was a great recipe starter!
03/04/2010
Love this. I did it in the crockpot on depression for 7 hours after marinading overnight. Bully season and the sauce is awesome on mashed potatoes.
02/28/2014
This was absolutely divine! We didn't have a chuck roast, but we did get some clearance thin sliced chuck steaks for $3.31 as nosotros are on a very tight budget these days and rarely eat meat. I have cooked the same kind of little steaks in a pan and they were as tough every bit shoe leather, but tasty with my seasonings. I was adamant to make them more tender this time. I baked them in a glassware covered with foil for ii 1/2 hours with all the ingredients except the onion since my husband doesn't eat onion, but I did go heavy on the onion powder. It smelled then wonderful cooking! When I got it out of the oven, my married man decided he wanted his in a sandwich. I went to grab one with a fork, and information technology was falling apart tender! They could not have been more tender and the flavor was out of this globe! We wished nosotros did accept a whole roast of it, or more fiddling chuck steaks because in that location is still about an inch of the liquid in the pan! Thank you for this recipe that made inexpensive chuck steaks more tender than tenderloin!
04/09/2012
I made this recipe exactly except I cooked it in the oven at 325 degrees for ii.25 hours. (I also dredged it in flour and browned the sides first) I was nervous at commencement considering the marinade tasted icky when I sampled information technology. However, this was THE Best roast I have ever had. It was so unbelievably tender and flavorful. It was well-nigh liked pulled pork!!
08/05/2010
This was sooooooo TASTY!! I did what myamay did and Baked information technology @ 350 for 2hrs and it came out perfect! The marinade was awesome!!! Can't look to make it again!
05/31/2009
This recipe is awesome. We used an arm roast instead of chuck roast then getting onto a rotisserie was a bit of a challenge. I basted the roast about every 15 minutes or so. It turned out beautifully.
09/27/2009
The sauce had smashing flavor
06/03/2017
I thought I was just going to have to put this hunk of meat in the crockpot and hope for the best . I thought about grilling it and constitute this. I made the marinade with fresh ginger which is needed. I did use Sweet baby Ray'south barbecue sauce and marinated information technology for several hours. I have a gas grill then I turn the two outside burgers to medium in the heart ones off I did choose to char the meet with the middle ones briefly. Everyone says it takes a lot of time but I thought it could have been a little less as the meet was just a little pinkish. I boiled the leftover sauce and dipped the meat into it. The ginger really does set this off from plain bbq
03/20/2020
Ok - so I altered the cooking means of this. I made the marinade as is (minus the beer, and added liquid smoke), put the roast in a crock pot, poured the marinade over the roast so cooked on low for 8 hrs. Melt in your oral cavity BBQ sandwiches!!!
02/26/2014
Delicious marinade! I made the roast in the crockpot. Cooked for well-nigh half-dozen hours until it reached temperature. It was delicious.
08/29/2017
So practiced. Cooked in the oven. Yum!
08/24/2015
Flavor was a scrap strong from the beer (used a pale mexican beer) and I'm agape that this cooking technique really doesn't get the meat that tender. Overall, I adopt a low and tiresome method for chuck roast.
03/xxx/2021
Then I didn't take ginger so I used ginger beer instead. That was the only alter. Very tender and flavorful. Definitely a keeper.
02/04/2021
I was ok, but hey it's a chuck roast - so what exercise you expect?. My roast was USDA Prime that I got from Sam'south gild. I marinated it 48 hrs and reduced the marinade on the stove till thickened. Roasted at 275F for 3 hrs. came out tender. basted the meat with reduced marinade. came out a petty likewise sweet. Wife didn't like the overly sweety teriyaki flavour. I thought information technology was but ok, but non that circuitous. Fine for a weekday meal
03/xxx/2018
Fantabulous! Made information technology in the Crock-Pot, cooked on depression for 10hrs, scrumptious! It's a winner.
06/10/2019
Pretty skillful. Added sonexayenbe pepper fir null.
11/06/2017
Made for company and was a smashing success. Will make once more. Too much sauce then will use to baste on ribs tomorrow. I suggest cutting recipe in one-half and you will still have plenty.
11/07/2013
This was good. There wasn't a trouble getting anyone to eat the leftovers.
03/04/2014
I like this recipe and I use information technology to dress upward my bbq sauce I go from the shop. I did change information technology upward a bit. I don't add together the beer since I oasis't had any. I do program on trying it with beer when I tin. If I have oj I add it instead of the beer. I add a flake of dark-brown sugar and if I don't have oj on mitt I endeavor something new thats sweetness to make information technology more lose. I figure to use something that goes well with the meat your cooking. I don't have black pepper so I utilize the medley of peppers which include red peppers. I don't notice whatsoever heat. It might help the season idk. With my beefiness when I seared it in the pan I seared both sides and so put liquid fume and seared it again. i minute on each side and then 4 minutes total. I can't requite it five stars since I find information technology alone to be a bit less to my liking and then when I add that extra stuff.
02/17/2016
I used nevertheless ingredients, but i grated the ginger to get the most flavour out of it as I dear ginger. I marinated the meat, took it out and browned information technology in a cast iron dutch oven. I cooked the marinade and and so poured information technology over the meat and baked the meat till tender. Everyone in the family loved it
11/17/2013
Nov. 2013, Made this this night and it was excellent. Accept a very small propane grill so I seared it on the grill for about 15mins. each side and so put it in a tedious baker for an hr an one-half. Roast was only 2 lbs. I basted it with the marinate every 20mins. My husband loved it. Information technology was very tender. We are going to serve the leftovers tomorrow over broiled potatoes. Already looking forrard to information technology.
03/17/2017
Made this for fourteen people and got rave reviews. They all thought they it was a really expensive roast! Thanks so much a real keeper!! Followed recipe exactly.
11/08/2017
tassssssty

I didn't have ginger root so I left information technology out of the recipe. It was delicious, juicy and tender. I will be making all our chuck roasts with this recipe in the future.

Great

Great Flavor. I cooked on the grill with indirect heat, basting every 15 minutes with the cooked downward sauce. Information technology took an hour to reach 160 degrees, turned off the grill and left it for 15 minutes. It got a little dry. Next time I would cook less and maybe to 140, then have information technology off.

I'1000 giving this a 4 instead of iii because what I did may have messed it up. Took the advise of another reviewer and let it marinade for 48 hours before cooking only other than that followed the directions. It just tasted kinda weird to all of us.

This was ok tasting for my family. The meat was certaintly moist and falling autonomously. I just don't recollect it was a gustation my family liked. I cooked it in a crock-pot, then perchance that had something to do with information technology.

It tasted awesome have I did it in oven and didn't marinate it long enough. Was a last minute decision to try. The meat ended up being tough. I will try again. Hat 2,25 lb chuck roast cooked for one hour 15 min. I will definitely try once more.

This was an amazing recipe- the first chuck roast I've actually liked! Followed the recipe and baked in the oven at 350* for 2 hours- turned out juicy and delicious!

I used the marinade recipe and smoked the roast. The meat had great flavor and the sauce produced a soft delicious bark. I cooked ho-hum cooked the roast to 165 degree internal temperature. It was succulent and fork tender, simply however able to be nicely sliced. We ate it as an entree and made sandwiches on a sour dough loaf with the leftovers. I'm switching my BBQ sauce for beef to this one.

I made this exactly like the recipe said except for the ginger (didn't add together it). This had to be one of the worst recipes we've ever tried. My family unit didn't similar it at all!!! The flavor wasn't any good and it turned out tough.

This was the best roast we'd ever made. We too put it correct on the grill and turned it halfway through. The only changes I fabricated were to use gluten free beer and teriyaki for my allergies. Nosotros will definitely be making this over again.

I used higher quality beer (IPA eight%, to be exact), which really brought out the flavour. I also didn't have a rotisserie, so I baked the roast with some potatoes in the oven for 2.5 hours at 225 degrees. Turned out dandy!

This was really good! I followed the actual recipe but used my George Jr. Rotisserie and cooked information technology for about 75 minutes. It was SOOO GOOOD! Definitely a keeper!

followed the recipe and found it overly acidic

made this tonight in the oven. left out the teriyaki sauce, but followed otherwise. correct around the two 60 minutes mark it was at 145. information technology should be noted that 145 is med. rare. if I had idea about that beforehand, I would have cooked it a little longer. I could taste the beer and don't intendance for beer, but information technology was my husband'southward beer and he loved it. even in the oven, it still got a lovely crust on it. I flipped it over a couple of times, about every 45 min, when I too added the baste.
